Mohan General Trading Company, known as (MCTC), embarked on its journey in the early Seventies as a company dedicated to tanning and manufacturing natural leather for the domestic market. Over the years, MCTC recognized the importance of value addition, and in the Eighties, it ventured into the export market, manufacturing and exporting leather goods and apparel to the American and European markets.

As the world grappled with the effects of global warming in the 21st century, MCTC diversified its operations by entering the export of Indian iron ore fines to China in the early 2000s. Around 2015, the company registered under the Ministry of Medium Small Enterprise, obtained ICAT registration for transportation, and commenced the production of Electronic Tricycles under the Green Environment program, catering to the domestic market.

At MCTC, we’ve established a strong, long-standing foundation, earning the trust of our clients through the consistent delivery of quality products and excellent services. Today, MCTC’s product and service portfolio extends further, with over 20 years of experience in the automobile business. Leveraging this expertise, we have developed a range of high-quality electric vehicles, starting with ‘Erahi’ e-rickshaws. With over 10,000 E-Rickshaws sold in the past decade, our journey into electric mobility continues. In 2021, we introduced ‘Erahi’ Electric Scooty products, offering more than six models in the market, with a goal to sell 10,000 E-Scooties by March 2024.

Yunar Exports, a sister concern of Mohan General Trading Company, was established in 2017. Specializing in the import of spare parts and the export of Dry Fly Ash, Yunar Exports plays a vital role in extending our global reach. Currently, Yunar Exports is poised to venture into the two-wheeler rental business, particularly with our Erahi Scooty products. Factors such as booming tourism, urbanization, digitalization, migration, micro-mobility, traffic congestion, and the cost of owning and maintaining two-wheelers are all contributing to the growing demand for two-wheeler rental services.

The rapid digitalization in the rental industry, driven by the convenience of mobile applications, is transforming the way users access and enjoy scooty rentals. Additionally, the rise in migration, especially among students and young professionals, has unlocked a new market segment for two-wheeler rentals. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, India’s two-wheeler rental market is showing resilience and is on a growth trajectory as restrictions ease and demand rebounds.
